11:46 pm - OMDG!! I' Engaged
Yup, I am now engaged. Jess and I got engaged last Motzei Shabbat, at Victory Lake in SLP. It was kinda of planned already, I was just waiting for a good way to do the official proposal and for the engagement ring to be ready. We had done choosing the said ring at the Jewelry store over on Rosedale. So on Sat night I decided that since it was obvious that I was going to propose that weekend, I might as well go ahead and do the proposing, I wanted to do so at either the Westwood lake or the Minehaha creek, But I got lost and ended up in Victory Park. My night driving skills are not very sharpe. So we drove down virginia ave towards Texas ave and pulled into the little parking lot by the bike trail. Then I did the proposing!!
Later that weekend we went to Old Chicago, the sculpture garden << "LJ user= wub">> has pics, and the ad-hoc bbq at Ackerbany Manor. I wore jeans that are too tight and my legs where numb until this morning.

09:52 pm - convergence not verge
Convergence, it was tons of amounts of kilos of pounds of fun. This was my 5th time at Convergence. Had a great time, except for the 96 degree weather outside, ran into Eyelid, Abby , and one guy from pirate group. I spent most of the weekend cruising the party rooms with Albiziaman. most of Saturday i spent at Cinema Rex, either watching the movies ( "pathogen" (done by like a 14 yr old filmmaker, "call of cthlhu" or generally sleeping through the rest since i stayed up till 4 am on Friday night. After davening at the hotel room and then walking over the 1/2 mile from the Day's Inn ( half the price than staying at the Sheraton). Saturday night i also moved around the 2nd floor quite a bit, ran into other people and so on. Sunday i had lunch at the TGIF with Sara D and Joe ( i had not seen them in two years). And then proceeded to go back to the Con for a half hour or so with Alfredo. Albiziaman was unsuccessful in his attempts to get the people to refer to it as "verge". I believe he will continue his efforts next year. yesterday i took more quizes for my math class, and this mornign the first test, i tried another quiz tonight but failed so i will have to retake it in the morning and also take another test after that

06:40 pm - Garbage disposal , tomatoes, bunny ears antenna
So This weekend after sleeping through most of Shabbat i decided to start fixing stuff and catching up in what i had not caught up before. I fixed the garbage disposal, i'm very proud of this since i have not technichal skills whatsoever. I "reppotted" the tomato plants so they will grow nice and strong. er.. I say repoted because i did not use real potts , but rather reused jelly jars and cutout of 2 litter soda bottles. I also bought bunny ear anthena so that now i can watch tv in the living room. I talked to Jess in Israel about an hour ago.

my dvd player est caput!, It died today, it now wont play any movies....argh!!! I dont want to buy a new one but its no longer in warranty and it will probably cost more to fix it.
I cant throw it away cause its electornic so it has mercury and what not. and i cant remember where the electronic safe disposal is in SLP.

The question is of course, Is there life there? Is there a night-life there? Can we terraform it?
Its 20 light years away, so if we use the fastest mode of space travel that we currently can device, to use nukular explosions to push a space shipe, it can travel at 1/10 the speed of light, so 20X10 it would take at least 200 years to get there, doh!

hehe just kidding, this weekend was fun! Shabbat services, seudat shlishit, dead cows grilled on sunday, and so forth.
ps: i have taken the math placement test at normandale and i will take a college level math course begingin in july 2007. they had no evening classes on summer session I, so im taking it on summer session II.
